Tampa, FL (NBC33) — The biological parents of two children are on the run after they abducted their biological children from Florida. State Police say they have ties to the Slidell area and they should be considered armed and dangerous.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an AMBER Alert for the two young children after they were taken by Joshua Michael Hakken, 35, and his wife Sharyn Patricia Hakken, 34, from their custodial grandmother in Tampa, Florida.
Louisiana State Police have issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Advisory. They say the couple may be driving a black 2006 GMC pickup truck bearing the University of South Florida tag #U95KT. They believe the family could be in Slidell due to family connections in that area.
The children are Chase Hakken, 2, and Cole Hakken, 4.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of these children please contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department at (813) 247-8200.
