Baton Rouge, La — The Southern University will hold the 9th Annual “Connecting Businesses with Contracts” Procurement Conference Thursday, April 4 from 7:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in the Smith-Brown Student Union.
The event is free and open to all small business owners and the general public. Registration is required and on-site registration will be available.
Small business owners will have the opportunity to network with federal, state, and local contracting agents and other small business owners. The conference will also provide workshops on the topics of: Understanding Lending to Grow Your Business, Marketing, the Affordable Care Act, Contracting with the State of Louisiana, and Contractor Fraud.
There will be a panel discussion on procurement (contract) opportunities that are available with several federal, state, and local agencies.
A luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the Cotillion Ballroom, free and opened to all participants. The guest speaker will be Joseph A. Delpit, President of Chicken Shack Systems and D & W Health Services.
