Lake Charles, La (NBC33) — People near Lake Charles woke up this morning to quite a shock - neon green water in the Calcasieu River.
Many people feared the worst and though it could be a chemical spill.
It turns out, the neon green was just the result of a dye being used for drainage testing.
A Phillips 66 plant nearby was conducting the tests, but forgot to notify the public.
