Shreveport, La — Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery in southeast Shreveport.
On March 25, 2013 at approximately 9:20 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a reported robbery of an individual in the 8500 block of Youree Drive. Upon arrival, patrolmen contacted an adult male victim who reported that he offered his Iphone 5 for sale on Craigslist.
After receiving a response from a potential buyer, the victim agreed to meet the buyer in a parking lot on Youree Drive. There, two suspects approached the victim asking to see the phone. When he obliged, one of them snatched the phone from the victim’s hand and they fled the scene on foot.
Just moments later, the victim observed that the robbers had apparently listed his stolen cell phone for sale on Craigslist.
Giving them a dose of their own medicine, the victim then posed as a buyer for the phone, arranged to meet the suspects at Wal-Mart in the 1600 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop and also notified police of the development.
Patrolmen then responded there and located the suspects in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, where it was discovered that the suspects still had possession of the victim’s phone at the time of arrest.
The suspect, identified as Lorenzo Huglon, 18, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of simple robbery.
The other alleged robber, a 16-year-old male, was booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center on one count of simple robbery.
