NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The investigation into the shooting death of a 13 month-old Brunswick, Georgia toddler continues as new information surfaces.
Brunswick police now believe the gun used to kill the baby has been recovered.
Authorities say they discovered the weapon based on leads from the mother and aunt of De'marquise Elkins, one of two teens charged in the case.
Meanwhile, the adult daughter of Sherry West has come forward. Ashley Glassey said she talked to her mother the night of the shooting and has concerns about her story.
Glassey said her mother mentioned a life insurance check for the baby, and the fact that she changed her story about the shooting.
Sherry West is not a suspect in the case and maintains her innocence.
