WEST FELICIANA PARISH, LA (NBC33) — The West Feliciana School Board is taking serious action to combat $1.5 million deficit.
Last night, the board voted to freeze teacher salaries, cut some administrative pay and offer early retirement programs for teachers.
Those cuts won't offset the entire deficit.
A chunk of the deficit comes from losses in funding and paying out teacher retirement.
