BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The latest generation of Red Cross response vehicles has arrived.
The newest in emergency response took five years to secure. Although it’s not in service yet, it’s being tested right here in south Louisiana.
Red Cross volunteers helped today by providing suggestions on the latest prototype. This concept vehicle is supposed to help the Red Cross do what it does best.
"This will be our fleet of the future and we want it to be the very most effective vehicle that it can be," Bobbi Zaunbrecher, Executive Director, said.
The Red Cross will start to replace its current vehicles over the next couple of years.
