Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — As basketball season winds down and baseball season heats up, the LSU Tiger football team is getting ready to start spring practice.
Today, Les Miles previewed the Tigers team as they head into practice number 1 of 15 tomorrow.
The Tigers enter the spring period looking to replace 12 starters off of the last year’s team that finished with 10 wins and 3 losses.
Coach Miles says he sees potential, but their work is cut out for them.
"Certainly, there is a lot to accomplish. We are no means in a position to predict a grand season,” said Miles. “But this is the type of team that if they work hard and do the right things they are capable of doing, they can compete for a title."
The team will go through their first spring practice tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.. The spring game will be free for fans. It's scheduled for April 20 at 2:00 p.m.
