Alexandria, La — After years of product development and six-months of market testing , a young Louisiana company has launched not just a new product but a brand new category onto the local food market—culinary condiments.
A native Louisianan, Lili Courtney, turned her 25-year love affair with cooking into Delightful Palate, a company dedicated to helping others become confident and creative in their own kitchen through her company’s product line and cooking classes.
“If food is my passion, then culinary condiments are my obsession,” said Courtney, Owner & Founder of Delightful Palate. “I’ve spent many years in the kitchen—cooking, developing recipes and teaching people how to enjoy the simple pleasures of food. My culinary condiments truly enhance and simplify the art of eating well.”
Delightful Palate finds it roots in Courtney’s cooking classes where she demonstrates the joy of “mingling what’s trending with fresh ingredients to create a unique taste” and teaches sometimes timid cooks to become confident and creative.
In an effort to make it easier for others to “steal a little pleasure out of each day” (a favorite Courtney phrase), she created her first culinary condiment—a rich, high quality olive oil infused with fresh ingredients that can be used as a marinade, a salad dressing, cooking oil, or as a sauce in an almost endless number of ways to turn an ordinary recipe into a unique and delicious dish.
Delightful Palate’s signature culinary condiments Stone Fruit Nectar, Balsamic Garlic Honey and Wild Mayhaw Berry debut this year in stores across South and Central Louisiana—at Kitchen Warehouse in Alexandria; at Champagne’s Market and The Kitchenary in Lafayette; Every Day Gourmet an Maxwell Markets in Baton Rouge; at Acquistapace Supermarket in Covington; and Langenstiens in New Orleans.
