BAKER, LA (NBC33) — Three under-fed horses in Baker are under serious supervision by animal control.
NBC33 News was contacted at the beginning of the month by a concerned citizen regarding the heath of the horses. Since our story aired, the owner was ordered to get a vet to look at the horses. Two barrels of hay were also given to them by animal control.
Director Hilton Cole says his officers are watching the horses very closely and won't hesitate to seize them if they're neglected again.
