St. Martinville, La — An Arnaudville man has been arrested after police investigated his vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business.
On March 4, shortly after midnight, St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents were traveling on Cecilia Bridge Hwy, when they observed a white Chevrolet Silverado parked at B & S Mini-Mart. The vehicle was backed up to the building and the lights were turned off.
Due to the business being closed at that time of the night, Agents stopped to do a welfare check on the business and to investigate the vehicle.
While conducting their investigation, Agents located a substantial amount of illegal narcotics, including methamphetamines, marijuana, steroids, and assorted pills in the vehicle and on the driver, who was identified as Jake Hebert, 34, Arnaudville.
Mr. Hebert was arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges: Possession With Intent to Distribute a Schedule I C.D.S. (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Schedule I C.D.S. (Marijuana), Possession of a Schedule III C.D.S. (Suboxone), Possession of a Schedule III C.D.S. (Suboxone), Possession of a Schedule III (Depo-Testosterone), Possession of a Legend Drug (Tramadol Hydrochloride) and Possession of a Legend Drug (Levotabs).
