GONZALES, LA — Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced Monday Roddy Road resurfacing work from La. 931 south to La. 621 will start Wednesday at 7 a.m.
Although through traffic will be allowed at a reduced speed, parish engineers advise motorists to take an alternate route while crews conduct a pre-mixing operation on the road.
Road crews with R. J. Daigle and Sons Contractors, Inc. will be grinding and mixing lime and soil cement to be applied as the road base. Officials estimate the road base will take one week to cure. Crews will then follow with applying asphalt to this section of Roddy Road.
