luling, la (nbc33) — State Police are searching a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian on I-310 last week.
Officials say the incident happened on Tuesday, Feb. 26 shortly before 7:00 p.m. We’re told the victim, Greg Boudreaux, 37, of Destrehan, was standing on the shoulder after a mattress he was transporting fell out of his truck.
Boudreaux turned his vehicle around on I-310 at LA 18 to return to the location where the mattress fell out. He then stopped on the right shoulder of I-310 and crossed to the left shoulder. While he was waiting to try and cross, he was struck by a passing vehicle and sustained moderate injuries.
The vehicle that hit Boudreaux did not stop to render aid. A headlight and mirror from the vehicle was left at the scene and troopers have determined that it belongs to a 2005 Chevrolet Impala. The vehicle will have damage to the left front and will also be missing the side mirror on the driver’s side.
