GONZALES, LA ( NBC33) — A Gonzales man who was on probation is back behind bars after agents with the Louisiana State Probation and Parole say they caught him making meth in his home.
Agents dropped by to check on Scott Bateman, 36, for a routine probation visit and claim they found a meth lab and drug paraphernalia at his residence on Rouyea Rd. Narcotics detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office were alerted and they removed the meth lab from the residence and properly disposed of the materials.
Bateman was arrested and charged with Operating a Clandestine Lab, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Drug Paraphernalia. Bateman was on probation for Possession of Methamphetamine and Simple Burglary.
