Self-defense: Homeowner will not face charges for shooting death

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — NBC33 has learned more about a shooting in north Baton Rouge that left Anthony Taylor, 20 [1], dead.

Police say Taylor was armed and trying to break into a home on Topeka Street when he was killed.

Authorities say Taylor and the resident shot at each other, and Taylor was hit and collapsed a short distance away.

At this time no charges are anticipated against the homeowner since the shooting appears to have been in self-defense. However, the district attorney's office will review the case.
