Financial worries intensify at a South Louisiana hospital. Heads are starting to roll at River West Medical Center. The only hospital in Iberville Parish may be shutting down as early as tomorrow. Without all of the departments fully staffed, employees say it’s impossible to run the emergency room.
The hospital has been in the dark for weeks and as of now, there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Radiology personnel were told to go home early today and the hospital’s CEO was told to go home for good. Bryan Bogle was fired after a meeting with bankruptcy Judge Douglas Dodd who ruled to defer any action until the end of March
For employees, that leaves them with unanswered questions. Patients and workers alike, say they hope this hospital remains open because it’s all the people of Iberville Parish have.
