Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Zapp’s Potato Chips is set to host the 9th Annual Zapp’s International Beerfest this weekend on April 6, 2013 from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the LSU Rural Life Museum off of Essen at I-10.
The Beerfest is an annual fundraising event coordinated with the LSU Rural Life Museum to raise funds for the maintenance of the museum and the museum grounds. All proceeds raised are used to benefit the Rural Life Museum.
“The Zapp’s International Beerfest for the Rural Life Museum was our founder, Ron Zappe’s, favorite fundraiser.” said Jay Johanson, Zapp’s Potato Chips - Gulf Coast Sales & Distribution Director “The event was near and dear to his heart and we hope that somehow it will forever be associated with him.”
The Beerfest allows local beer enthusiasts the opportunity to taste over 200 foreign and domestic beer and ales, including an extraordinary assortment of home brews. Jambalaya, pizza, hot-dogs and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. Music Entertainment will be provided by the CJ Solar Band.
“Zapp’s Potato Chip’s long time support of the LSU Rural Life Museum and their ongoing commitment to support through the Annual International Beerfest has enabled us to preserve Louisiana’s rural history.” explained David Floyd, LSU Rural Life Museum - Executive Director.
Tickets are $30.00 per person. The event is limited to 2,000 fun seekers! You must be over 21 and have a valid I.D. to attend.
