Hugo Chavez returns to Venezuela

NBC News — Venezuela President Hugo Chavez has returned from Cuba. Chavez tweeted news of his return sunday night. His return comes more than two months after he went to Cuba for cancer surgery.

There had been speculation Chavez was unwell enough to travel, despite saying he wanted to return to his homeland for continued treatment for the disease he was first diagnosed with in mid-2011. Venezuela's Vice-President confirmed Chavez flew back to the country from Havana and said he was in a military hospital in Caracas.
