ASCENSION PARISH, LA (NBC33) — Trina Edwards has officially announced that she is pregnant.
Trina, 34, the wife of former governor Edwin Edwards, 85, told The Creole [1] that she is now three months pregnant. The couple utilized in vitro fertilization to conceive.
“There are no adequate words to express my excitement. Having another baby was something I wanted so desperately,” Trina Edwards said. “I thought it was impossible, but through a twist of fate (which people will learn about in our upcoming show) we were given an amazing chance which resulted in a miracle! Edwin has been so loving and supportive through the whole process as have my boys and our family and friends. I’ve been blessed beyond imagine in my life and I do and will continue to thank God for all he’s given me! I know in my heart that this baby has a special purpose and will change the world…even if only ours.
Trina Edwards has two children from a previous marriage, as does Edwin. The couple tied the knot on Friday, July 29, 2011.
The couple will star in a new reality show [2] called “The Governor’s Wife.” It is set to premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 10:00 p.m. on A&E.
