BATON ROUGE, LA — The Wally Pontiff Jr. Baseball Hall of Fame in Alex Box Stadium opens to the public this weekend as the Tigers face Maryland in a three-game season-opening series.
Located on the ground level, third-base side of the stadium, the Hall of Fame celebrates the glorious history of LSU Baseball through words, photographs and video, and it contains numerous artifacts, including the Tigers’ National Championship rings and trophies, vintage uniforms and Major League memorabilia.
The facility will be open throughout the season before and during home games in Alex Box Stadium.
Baseball Hall of Fame Hours This Weekend
Friday vs. Maryland Game Time: 7 p.m.
· 2 p.m.-4:30 p.m. – enter Hall of Fame through outdoor entrance on third base side
· Closed from 4:30-5 p.m.
· 5 p.m. through 7th inning – enter Hall of Fame through indoor entrance on ground-level concourse
Saturday vs. Maryland Game Time: 1 p.m.
· 8:30-10:30 a.m. – enter Hall of Fame through outdoor entrance on third-base side
· Closed from 10:30-11 a.m.
· 11 a.m. through 7th inning – enter Hall of Fame through indoor entrance on ground-level concourse
Sunday vs. Maryland Game Time: 12 p.m.
· 10 a.m. through 7th inning – enter Hall of Fame through indoor entrance on ground-level concourse
