PORT ALLEN, LA (NBC33) — A judge has granted a temporary retraining order preventing the Mayor of Port Allen from firing the city’s chief financial officer.
Monday Mayor Deedy Slaughter fired CFO Audrey McCain because of what she said were issues with her up-keep of the city’s finances. The move sparked heated debate at last night’s City Council meeting.
A hearing has been set for Wednesday, Feb. 20.
