HAMMOND, LA (NBC33) — A Hammond man surrendered to police this morning after he allegedly shot and killed his father.
The Hammond Police Department reports that the incident occurred shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14 at a home on the 600 block of Rue Cannes. Officials say Robert Lafargue, 30, shot his 67-year-old father. He reportedly called 911 to report the incident, then remained at the scene until police arrived.
Investigators have not released information relative to his motive.
Robert Lafargue was arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder.
