New Orleans police announced on Wednesday that a task force has been deployed to find the three men sought in a kidnapping, robbery and rape incident that happened on Monday night.
Three men are being sought after police said they kidnapped, robbed and sexually assaulted a woman multiple times on Monday night in the Garden District.
The teens will be transferred to Orleans Parish Prison where they will be booked in the evening.
The Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office said it intends to prosecute the juveniles as adults, but first a grand jury must decide on the indictments.
All three suspects in the incident that happened on the night of Feb. 4 in the 1200 block of Eighth Street, were arrested on Thursday, New Orleans police said.
The first suspect, a 15-year-old boy, turned himself in to police. Police said he confessed to the crimes.
Police said another teen, 16 years old, and 18-year-old Christopher Davis were arrested Thursday night. Officials said officers arrested the 16-year-old boy at his home about 6:30 p.m., while Davis was located a few blocks from his home on Toledano Street about 6:40 p.m.
Davis was previously arrested on charges of criminal mischief and battery, officers said.
Detectives said the two teens were charged with aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery and armed robbery.
Police said the woman was getting out of her car in the Garden District when she was approached by two men. One them was armed with a gun.
The men forced the woman into a vehicle that was waiting nearby and driven by a third man.
