BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A 19-year-old man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run diver early this morning. Troopers are asking for help from the public in identifying the driver who is responsible.
The Louisiana State Police reports that the incident occurred at roughly 3:00 a.m. on Burbank Drive near Staring Lane. We’re told the victim, Tyrone Davis of Baker, was in the westbound land when he was struck by the vehicle.
Witnesses reported seeing a mid-1980’s model Ford F-150 pickup truck flee the scene. It is possible the vehicle may have been repainted to an aqua blue or teal color, and it would have damage to the passenger side head light and grille area. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on Burbank.
If you know anything about this incident or the identity of the driver, call Louisiana State Police at (225) 754-8500.
