BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Baton Rouge Police released the name of the man they say punched a police officer in the face.
18-year-old Christopher Hensley of Zachary is charged with battery on a police officer for fighting with a police corporal after Spanish Town parade.
Police say it happened around 2:45 Saturday afternoon on the corner of Florida and Lafayette.
The female police officer tried to break up the fight between the Hensley and another man. That's when she got punched. Bystanders helped restrain the teen until more police arrived.
The police officer went to the hospital for facial injuries. She was released from the hospital.
