Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — State leaders are asking for applications from programs that are ready to change preschool education.
It's part of the Louisiana's Act 3 plan that was passed last year. It's goal is to unify early learning programs around the state and improve them, so kids are better prepared for kindergarten.
The changes are supposed to take full effect by 2015.
However, the state needs some preschools and early learning centers to volunteer to test it ahead of time.
