RAYVILLE, LA (NBC33) — A doctor from Rayville was arrested for drug possession after an investigation was launched against him for prescription fraud.
The Louisiana State Police reports that Dan LaFleur, 60, of Delhi, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 6. We’re told investigators found narcotics in his home, and LaFleur allegedly tried to resist officers when they attempted to place him under arrest.
Lafleur was arrested and charged with five counts of Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, two counts of Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and Resisting a Police Officer. He was booked into the Richland Parish Detention Center.
If convicted on all charges, LaFleur faces up to $37,000 fine and up to 37 years in prison.
The investigation is ongoing.
