Livingston Parish (NBC33) — Jeffery Reynolds, the man accused of cutting his unborn child from his pregnant wife and attempting to kill her as well, is set for another court appearance Monday.
Reynolds is set to have a hearing to revoke his bond. At his last court appearance Reynolds told NBC33, “I love my wife and I love my son with all my heart. I hope the state will make new laws and enforce laws against synthetic drugs that has ruined my family.”
Reynolds is accused of cutting the unborn fetus from his wife on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012. It happened at the home the couple shared in Walker. When law enforcement arrived on scene, they found the victim with her throat slashed and her abdomen cut. The fetus died at the scene, but his wife was transported to a local hospital and survived.
