PONCHATOULA, LA (NBC33) — A search of a man’s home in Ponchatoula uncovered sexually explicit photographs of children and videos of infants being forced to engage in sexual activity. Detectives are now working to identify his victims.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that an investigation was launched against Robert Eugene Swan, 50, after he was implicated in an investigation. Officials say the case was part of a proactive effort to search online for child pornography violators.
A search warrant was issued for Swan, which was conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 30. Officials say the evidence they collected included pictures of Swan engaged in sexual activity with children.
"Our priority now is to identify the victims of Robert Swan,” Sheriff Daniel Edwards said. “Detectives will continue to work with agents to locate the victims, insure that they are safe, and get to them any help that they may need."
