NEW ORLEANS, LA (WDSU-CNN) — A second teenager was arrested in connection with a shooting that happened on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Central City.
New Orleans police said the 15-year-old boy was arrested was the driver of the car in the drive-by shooting.
The teen was arrested at his home in New Orleans East at about 5 p.m. Monday.
He was arrested on five counts of principal to aggravated battery.
On Friday, another 15-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting.
Two or three other people were in the car that the gunfire came from at the intersection of LaSalle Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Five people were shot that day. None of the injuries was life-threatening, NOPD said.
Police said more arrests may be coming.
The violence happened less than an hour after the city's annual parade honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. passed through the neighborhood.
