BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The head of the state Senate's Natural Resources Committee is planning a pair of meetings about the Bayou Corne sinkhole.
Senator Gerald Long tells NBC33 News he'll host one meeting in Baton Rouge, and another in Assumption Parish. The first will be a Senate hearing on February 19 at the State Capitol, because that's the best date for members of the Natural Resources Committee.
Long has not yet set a date for the Assumption Parish meeting. He said Governor Jindal is invited, but he doesn't think he will attend.
