Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A San Diego man is trying to use his bike for good; it's his mission to help change the world.
Derrick Boles passed through Baton Rouge on Thursday, Jan. 24.
He is traveling from San Diego to the Super Bowl on an Eliptigo bike in hopes of getting people along the way to stand-up and make a difference by deterring crime across the country.
He's not asking for any money, he simply wants the public to act.
“This isn’t about me. I don't want you to give me anything,” stated Boles. “All I want is to work within your community to find people who want to do the right thing and make change. If I can stand up for 2,000 miles, you can stand up for your community.”
His final stop will be in New Orleans, where he hopes the largest gathering of media will help spread his message; outlets across the world will be in the Big Easy for the Super Bowl.
