New Orleans, La — Representatives from New Orleans, the Convention Center Authority and the NFL will debut the grand re-opening of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and opening of the NFL Shop at Super Bowl with a special ribbon cutting ceremony on January 25.
Among attendees will be Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne and New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu.
The ceremony marks the completion of the 24-month renovation of the Great Hall, a new 60,000 square foot hotel-like ballroom.
The event will also provide fans with a first look at the 30,000 square foot NFL Shop, which offers the largest supply of NFL limited edition Super Bowl XLVII merchandise and the latest in authentic NFL products.
The shop is free to enter and open to the public starting Friday, January 25 – Sunday, January 27 and will reopen with the launch of the NFL Experience Wednesday, January 30 and close on Monday, February 4.
