Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Baton Rouge Police are investigating a traffic crash that occurred this morning around 10:40 a.m. in the 9800 block of Greenwell Springs Road at the intersection of Platt Drive.
A 70-year-old female, driving a 2008 Mazda Tribute westbound on Greenwell Springs Road, was attempting to make a left turn onto Platt Drive when she was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet Impala traveling eastbound on Greenwell Springs Road.
The 70-year-old driver was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. The 34-year-old driver of the Impala did not have any injuries.
This traffic crash is still under investigation.
