EBR Kindergarten registration period starts on January 28

East Baton Rouge Parish, La — The Kindergarten Registration Period begins Monday, January 28, at all East Baton Rouge Parish School System elementary schools.

It will be ongoing during school day hours. This is a chance to register incoming kindergarten students for the 2013-2014 school year. 

Children must be at least 5 years old by September 30 to be eligible for school slots as first-time kindergarteners for our School System. Registration packets are available at home elementary schools.

To apply, the following documents are required – child’s birth certificate, child’s Social Security card, parents’ photo identification, child’s up-to-date immunization card and two current bills with the parent’s same address.
