BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Former Southern football standout Aeneas Williams is one of 15 finalists to be elected to the class of 2013 NFL Hall of Fame.
Despite only playing one year as a Jaguar, Williams went on to a 14 year career in the professional ranks. The eight-time Pro Bowler finished with 55 interceptions and 9 touchdowns as a defensive back for the Cardinals and the Rams.
He's currently the founding pastor of Spirit of the Lord family church in St. Louis.
Inductees will be announced on February 2.
If he gets in, Williams would be officially enshrined on Saturday, Aug. 3 in Canton, Ohio.
