THIBODAUX, LA (NBC33) — An accused car thief is behind bars for after he confessed to stealing a city Parks and Recreation vehicle.
The Thibodaux Police Department reports that the incident was reported on Christmas Eve. Officials with the Thibodaux Parks and Recreation office discovered that a vehicle had been stolen from the main office. It was later found severely damaged and crashed in a ditch off Hwy. 307 near Raceland.

Investigators were lead to Chase Ordoyne, 22, who was already locked up for allegedly stealing a different vehicle. During questioning Ordoyne confessed to stealing the city vehicle.
Ordoyne was booked for a second time with the additional charge of Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Felony Criminal Damage to Property.
