ST. GABRIEL, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE:
Keana Barnes, 33, is still on the loose tonight.
She escaped from the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women at around 1:00 a.m. yesterday morning.
Officials say she should be considered armed and dangerous. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to her capture.

Officials with the Department of Corrections told NBC33 News 33 year old Keana Barnes escaped from the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women around 1:00 Tuesday morning.
She was serving a 25-year sentence for manslaughter.
Barnes is from the New Orleans area. Officials with the Department of Corrections say she should be considered armed and dangerous
The Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrestof Barnes. Tips on Barnes’ whereabouts can be called into the LCIW Control Center at 225.319.2300.
It's the second escape from the facility in just the last week.
