Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Ringing in the New Year’s Eve holiday with a little bubbly could cost you a headache in the morning.
NBC33 went and asked some of the experts -your favorite bartenders - the best way to avoid a hangover if you've overindulged a little too much.
While some of those cures may seem a little far-fetched, bartenders we spoke to swear they work.
"Not that I’d recommend it, but ginger ale and bitters is supposed to be an awesome hangover cure,” stated bartender Justin Bixler. “You just put a few shots of bitters in your ginger ale and you chug it real quick and go on with your day."
"I usually take a flavorless Pedialite and a Gatorade - whatever flavor you like - and mix it half and half just to put the electrolites back in your body”, advised bartender Kendra Young. “You're so dehydrated, and you just need that. It works every time! Also, stay away from the greasy foods too!”
Remember if you are going to indulge in a few cocktails this evening, do not drink and drive. There are several safe ways, including designated drivers and cabs, for you to get home this evening.
