BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A teacher on leave from Southern Lab turned herself into police after learning that her ex-boyfriend had filed charges against her for fraud and theft.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the incident was initially reported on Oct. 7, 2012. Officials say the suspect, Anrea Williams, is accused of stealing a container full of change. The victim claims there was roughly $3,000 in loose coins. The victim also alleges that the suspect applied for credit cards using his name and information and then used them to make various purchases.
Investigators issued a warrant for Williams’ arrest. She turned herself into police on Thursday, Dec. 27. She was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of Forgery, Theft and Felony Theft.
