Texas woman arrested for making threats against Houma school

HOUMA, LA — Police have arrested the woman they say called in threats that caused a stir at Houma schools on Friday. [1]

Kely Garcia, 31, of Denning Drive in Houma, was arrested in Jack County, Texas, and extradited back to Houma.

Police say Garcia made threats toward public officials and students at local high schools. The threats led to increased police presence at several Houma schools, but no incidents were reported.
