NBC News — South Korean officials say the rocket North Korea recently blasted off to space is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead more than 6200 miles. If true, that puts the U.S. west coast at risk of attack.
South Korea was able to collect debris from the rocket and initial tests show that it was made more for missile delivery instead of space travel. Officials also say that the rocket is capable of carrying a payload of 1100 to 1300 pounds.
