U.S. increases military aid to Lebanon

NBC News — The U.S. is increasing the amount of military aid it gives to Lebanon. Friday the U.S. officially handed over six "Huey Two" helicopters to the Lebanese air force in a package worth $58 million.

The aid package comes at a time when Lebanon is trying to bolster its military which has been struggling to deal with violence spreading over the border from Syria. In the past six months the U.S. has provided approximately $140 million in equipment and assistance to the Lebanese military.
