NBC NATIONAL NEWS — With the help of a new “super suit”, people who haven't stood in years are able to walk again on their own.
Paraplegic patients at a hospital in Pasadena, California are getting back on their feet thanks to a battery-powered "bionic suit."
On Tuesday, Aaron Bloom, 27, demonstrated the ready-to-wear device's capabilities and opened up about how the technology has impacted his life.
“At first, it felt very scary,” stated Bloom, “but also it was a very powerful feeling to be upright and just be able to look people in the eye and move across the room in a standing position."
Bloom says he hopes more people will join him in using the suit and hopes that its use in rehab is just the start of greater things to come.
