TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA — A Tickfaw woman has been charged with the attempted murder of a 74-year-old man.
Janice Holifield, 38, stabbed a 74-year-old male victim last night around 6:00 p.m.
Deputies were notified and responded to Galafora Road in Tickfaw regarding a male subject who was stabbed in the chest.
It is reported that an argument took place between the suspect and victim over a money issue. While arguing, Janice armed herself with a butcher knife and stabbed the74-year-old victim in the chest.
She then fled the scene in a 1992 blue Ford Explorer.
At this time, the victim is reported to be in stable condition.
Holfield has been taken into custody and charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.
