Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — This morning, kids at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital were greeted by the LSU men's basketball team, spreading holiday cheer.
The team visited the children’s ward here in Baton Rouge.
The annual visit brings smiles to the kids’ faces. The team signed Tiger basketballs and team posters.
It's a day that puts things into perspective for the Tigers.
"These kids battle everyday with the things that they have going on, and for us to put a smile on their faces, it’s big for them and it’s big for us too,” stated junior guard Andre Stringer. “We feel good about doing things like this."
The Tigers are playing as well as they are singing these days. The team improved to 6-0 on the year with their win last night against Chattanooga.
