Toledo Bend, La — On December 10, the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office received a call about a man who went missing in the Toledo Bend Reservoir. They immediately sent out a rescue team, but the thunderstorms and torrential downpour made it harder for them to find the missing fisherman.
They stayed out looking for the man all night. At daybreak on Monday morning, the dive teams started to go out looking for him again.
After several hours searching the area of the lake where the man and his friends had been fishing, the dive team was able to recover Justin Wilson, 22.
Wilson had been fishing with two friends and was bringing his boat in when it slipped away. Wilson and one of the other men swam into the water to get the boat, but Wilson didn't come out of the water.
This is the first drowning that the De Soto Parish dive team has had to help out on this year.
