JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (NBC33) — The man who managed to escape his handcuffs and walked out of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is back in custody.
Officials tell us Harry Mitchell is back in custody after he was located on Thursday by US Marshals in New Orleans.
Mitchell was brought in on Tuesday, Dec. 4 [1]by investigators for questioning relative to an armed robbery. Although he was cuffed to a floor plate, Mitchell negotiated his way out of them and left the building unnoticed.
Mitchell allegedly robbed a couple at gunpoint. Deputies used the victim’s iPhone tracking app to locate him.
