BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Another arrest has been made for the murder of a Baton Rouge man back in November.
The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Benjamin Bailey, 20, this afternoon. He’s accused of being one of the gunmen involved in the shooting death of Derrick Marioneaux, 34. The incident happened on Nov. 6 at his home on Wyandotte street.
Bailey was the only remaining suspect in the case. A 14-year-old boy was arrested shortly after the incident occurred, and Juan Herbert, 21, was arrested after he was released from the hospital. Herbert was located at the scene with a gunshot wound, but it was determined that he was one of the shooters, not a victim.
Bailey was transported to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and will be charged with First-Degree Murder.
