Doyline, LA (KMSS) — Louisiana state officials have announced evacuation orders for the area surrounding camp Minden will be lifted at noon today, Friday, Dec. 7.
Officials urge residents from the Doyline area to not return to home at this time as it has not been deemed safe.
Anyone who must return before the order have been lifted is encouraged to do so after dark, when explosives are not being handled.
This recommendation comes as the safety of all residents is the primary concern.
The area has been under evacuation orders since Tuesday, following a report citing improper storage of more than a million pounds of illegally stored M6 explosives that could be extremely dangerous if moved.
